Division Descriptions
Training: Practice and games with an emphasis on basic skills developed through age-appropiate and enjoyable techniques. Weekly practice. Spring and Fall seasons. Games Saturday or Sunday mornings.
Mites: Focus on continued skill development, team play, concepts and fun. Weekly practice. Spring and Fall seasons. Games Saturday or Sunday afternoons.
Juniors: Focus on learning soccer
rules, basic terminology, skills and position.
Seniors: Emphasis on learning
creativity, analysis of play, mobility off the ball,
and strategies to used in different situations.
Travel: Emphasizes the development
of skills and sportsmanship in a competitive environment.
Teams engage in play throughout the state and in
tournaments in and out of the state.
Indoor: Played during the winter
months at Oakwood Athletic Center in Glastonbury
and Farmington Sports Arena. WHYSA fields teams
at the competitive levels.
